About Me
Howdy! Here I am, after being an online marketer for more than 5 years and refusing to acknowledge that offline marketing (direct response marketing) even existed I finally gave up.
I was convinced that it was a thing of the past and about to die soon, very soon. In my defense I must say that most Internet “gurus” back then and some even nowadays still believe it.
Luckily, I am not one of these blind-sided people anymore. Instead I decided to embrace offline marketing to compliment my online marketing efforts and make them more successful.
I remember the day it hit me more than a year ago so vividly like it was yesterday. I was in the office (I work for a great company that makes bowling bags, custom bowling balls and bowling shoes – KR Strikeforce) checking my email – you know what I am talking about – 40 + emails most of which you just delete without even opening.
I was annoyed because it’s just getting worse and worse. Unbeknownst to me at that time why I recalled the night before when I picked up the mail and got only one letter – ONLY ONE 0 my bank statement (I know, I know I am the only person who hasn’t switched to paperless statements).
Wait a minute, I thought – the number of emails cluttering my email box has been growing while my physical mail box is empty and it is so easy to get your marketing message noticed because there is no noise (one of he reasons is because emails are free to send but it is a topic I want to discuss in depth on my blog).
That was my a-ha moment! So here is where I am today – after doing online marketing for customers for more than 5 years now I am ashamed to admit that I haven’t done everything possible to help my clients by not embracing offline methods of promotion and often advised them against it as a waste of money.
What a fool I was but not anymore. Now I have a holistic approach to marketing that pays off handsomely (no, I am not abandoning online marketing, not at all). On my blog I will be sharing thoughts on that so you are more than welcome to check it out and leave your comments.
